Analyst- Food
- To perform the analysis as per allotted job and as per prescribed method, within stipulated Turnaround Time.
- To maintain raw data with original observations of testing, readings and all other relevant records, documents and undertake its timely updates.
- Follow the 5S principles to keep the laboratory in an orderly manner.
- To check and maintain sufficient resources e.g. availability of chemicals, consumables, glass wares etc. and update the section head about the requirements on a timely basis and maintain its records for easy inventory control.
- To undertake the in house calibration checks, performance checks, intermediate checks, daily checks of lab equipment like balances, pH meters, spectrophotometer, photofluorometer etc. and maintain their records.
- To undertake timely in-house preventive maintenance of instruments and equipment like spectrophotometer, refractometer, pH meter etc. To assist the instrument/equipment engineer during his maintenance visits. To maintain the records of instrument failure and/or repairs in history sheets
- To assist the section head in maintaining the appropriate sample storage, retention & proper discard of samples, chemicals & other wastes etc. To undertake timely cleaning and maintenance of refrigerators and reagent racks.
- To undertake the upkeep of Certified Reference Standards (CRMs). To prepare the calibration solutions of CRMs from intermediate /mother stock and maintain the records as per ISO 17025 guideline.
- To train the trainee analyst for test methods & handling the instruments, maintenance, trouble shooting and in-house calibration /performance evaluation.
