Analyst/ Sr. Analyst – Food

Job Purpose : Responsible for undertaking day to day analysis and to maintain records.

Job description & responsibilities:

1. To perform the analysis as per allotted job and as per prescribed method, within stipulated TAT.

2. To check and maintain sufficient resources eg, availability of media, chemicals, glass wares etc. and maintain its records.

3. To maintain all the relevant records, documents and undertake its timely updates. To review and cross check the raw data maintained and to check, validate and sign the final test report of each sample.

4. To prepare SOPs, standards, specifications and relevant methods and its timely updates.

5. Follow the 5S principals to keep the laboratory in an orderly manner.

6. To guide, impart trainings to junior and trainee analysts and supervise their work.

7. To undertake the in house calibration checks, performance checks , intermediate checks along with handling troubleshooting such as breakdown, service/maintenance and maintain the relevant records.

8. To undertake appropriate sample storage, retention & proper discard of samples, chemicals & other wastes etc.

9. Updating seniors with overall working of the section, progress, any specific requirements & non-conformances.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Qualification : Bachelors in Chemistry (Analytical /Medicinal/any other substream) or B.Tech (Food)/ Any degree with specialization in Food Technology

2. Experience : Minimum 2 years in relevant field.

3. Expected Skills : Analytical Skills, Time Management
