Saudi Arabia & South Africa Look to India’s Food Tech for Growth

India’s food processing and food-tech sector is increasingly being recognised as a global innovation hub, with countries like Saudi Arabia and South Africa seeking partnerships to enhance food security and boost production.
At the Anuga FoodTec India and Anuga Select India 2025 expos in Mumbai, leaders highlighted how Indian advances in AI, IoT, digital traceability, cold chain, and precision food processing are reshaping the global food supply chain.
🔹 Saudi Arabia, home to over 37.1 million palm trees and producing 1.1 million tons of dates annually, is exploring Indian partnerships to expand global reach.
🔹 South Africa, with a $313 billion food & beverage industry projected to hit $1 trillion by 2030, is banking on Indian food-tech to strengthen its processing and agriculture value chains.
