Analyst – Instrumentation

Job Description:  

Independently performs sample analysis using validated methods and ensures compliance with QA/QC system.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Independently run assigned instruments and analytical methods within defined TAT. 
  • Record the original observations, raw data in relevant log books 
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of test items as per internal procedure and/ or regulatory requirements 
  • Quantify the test results record them accurately in worksheets, LIMS, or formats. Write job sheets independently and enter all results in LIMS— the Analyst who quantifies the result is the one who records it 
  • Assist the team leader or reporting in charge in doing the root cause analysis  
  • Perform intermediate calibration checks, preventive maintenance and routine troubleshooting of equipment, instruments used by them 
  • Check the quality of critical consumables through visual inspection and testing and report the outcome to team leader or reporting in charge 
  • Assist the seniors in preparation of CRM stocks, intermediate and working calibration solutions 
  • Perform intermediate calibration check on CRMs and report the results to team leader or reporting in charge 
  • Maintain consumables, chemicals and CRMs usage records in log books 
  • Raise requisition for routine consumables and chemicals when stocks deplete. 
  • Report deviations or abnormalities found in the testing immediately and responsibly to the team lead or manager 
  • Provide technical support to junior analysts and trainees. 

Prerequisites – 

Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Any branch of chemistry) / M. Tech Food Tech etc with strong instrumentation exposure 
Experience: 3-5 years
