Envirocare Labs Honoured with Thane Municipal Corporation Environment Award

Envirocare Labs is proud to announce that we have been honored with the prestigious Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) Environment Award under the Industry Category. The award was presented by Shri Saurabh Rao, IAS, Thane City Municipal Commissioner, in recognition of our unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability.
For over 44 years, Envirocare Labs, headquartered in Thane city, has been a leader in providing water and wastewater testing services, assisting clients globally with their environmental compliance monitoring. This award acknowledges our commitment to environmental stewardship and our significant contributions in this field.
Our headquarters, Enviro House, holds the distinction of being India’s first CII – Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) platinum green building interior research and testing laboratory. We have implemented numerous innovative and sustainable practices, including:
- Advanced wastewater treatment systems.
- Air scrubbing systems for laboratory exhausts.
- Generating 24% of our total electricity consumption from a 90 KWH rooftop solar installation.
- Solid waste composting for remnant sample disposal.
- Maintaining over 200 plants within our premises.
- Planting more than 5000 saplings.
- Reducing water consumption by up to 80% through the use of diffusers across all taps.
- Empowering, encouraging, and enlightening stakeholders by instituting the Global Envirocare Green Awards since 2018.
